i was discussin with my friend joe (Joe@Dezod) .. said that the TRD springs are alright .. but the Tein springs are much higher quality (better material) .. and they give about the same drop .. and the ride is a little smoother with Tein .. im goin with the Tein springs over TRD .. and im purchasing a Progress Rear Sway Bar over the TRD too .. he said that was a dramatic improvement .. you can get both things at http://www.dezod.com

and where did he get the information that the materials in the Tein's are better? If you didn't know.. Eibach makes the springs for TRD. the just give them the specs they want and Eibach manufacturers them. So you're saying Eibach isn't up to the quality of Tein?

the tein h-tech drop is more than the trd. i got the h-techs on my car. its looks good, and the drive is smooth. the car handles a lot better too.

i'd go with the h-techs. i know many people that have run them on wrx's and liked the ride. it's not an extreme drop like the s-techs. plus, u can run your stock struts w/ the h-techs.

According to http://www.tein.com/ti/l52.html (the first section), the front drop is around 1.85" and 1.46" in the back. TRD springs are 1" to 1.125" drop all around: http://www.trdusa.com/GeneralInformation.asp

Then again, maybe he was just trying to make a sale? I mean, he seems like a great guy and everything, but he is still running a business. And I don't see him in this thread making that comment.
TRDs are Eibach and Eibach are top notch.
Anyway, here is a pic of the TRD drop, pretty much settled:

When I first got them, I did not think they were low enough. Now they they have settled, I think they are perfect. The ride over roads is a smooth as stock, but it's tighter in the corners. I dont' think you can go wrong with either. I went TRD to be sure to not wear out my stock shocks to early, so I can save up for coil overs!

soooooo.....I guess since I didnt' get the TRD exhaust or the TRD air filter, I'm OK with the TRD springs?
jk
I like the TRDs cause no bounce, and they look better then I expected. But the deeper Tien drops look great. Can't wait to see your pics.

The Teins seem to have a lower drop in the front creating a that bulldog stance while the TRDs give what appears to be a bigger drop in the rear when in reality the car stands more even all around.
