Default Tein SS-P, Progress, or D2?

I'm getting a head start for the months to come (when i have the money) for coilovers.

After doing a little reading I've kind of narrowed it down to the 3 listed above.

I know for a fact the teins are pillowball tops. these seems to hold a great advantage for adjustment purposes etc. springs rates seem pretty good too.

i've also looked into the D2's, i can get these for a pretty good price at a local shop. they are 36 way adjustable but cant find in the pillowballs are on tCs or not... anyone have an idea? spring rates?

and then theres progress, heard good things, but in the same boat as the D2s. if it wasnt the holiday id call and ask them myself.

help!? suggestions? open to others as well as long as they arent more than the ss-p price wise

The D2s are just generic crap. Basically the same thing as Ksport/Megan Racing. Literally, they're made at the same place.

I'd suggest with the Progress, maybe the Teins, or H&R. Just depends on what you want to spend. H&Rs go for right around $1k shipped from allsprings.com.

if teins are THAT much better ill spend the extra $400-500.

I've been leaning torwards the Progress but can't find many/any reviews or real good information on the adjustment capabilites of them. I want something to handle well, and adjust ride height on for track wheels and dampening

What are you getting the coils for, just looks and basic ride. or do you want something that handles great more towards a race type suspension? My opinion would be to spend a little more and go with JIC FLT-A2 they are one of the few that come with adjustable camber plates which come in handy.

tein is one if not the stiffest/highest spring rate suspension for the tc.. i use it on my daily driver, its not that bad could get rough though depends on road condition

think its the other way around, TRD coilovers are rebadged Progress Coils.

tCtastic:the JIC coils have been around just as long as the Teins. Both uses camber plates. I went with Tein because of the EDFC controller and Tein is one of the few companies if not only company that offer rebuilds. JIC IMO is just too expensive.

OP: tein is the way to go.

true about the teins. but the tein ssp's are more for stylish set up. for auto x and better all around supsension better to go with the jic's they're slightly stiffer but they perform better. the best to go with are zeal but those aren't cheap haha and they're hard to find.

First off, you have no valid points. Nearly all your statements are just opinions.

1. Explain why Tein SSPs are more for styling?
2. How does JIC perform better?
3. Why are Zeal the best to go with? Because they are overpriced? Or because you actually have experience with them and you can formulate another pointless opinion for us?

hostility. i didn't know i was gonna have to post that i've used the suspension before sorry. i've used zeal jic and d2 on other vehicles and zeal by far had the best ride quality and handling on and off track and you can't say they're overpriced if you've never used them. the jic's aren't much more than the teins but they have a slightly higher spring rate. i've never used tein myself but friends and people i've raced with that have used tein aren't fans of em can't really say why they just all suggested to get other brands (ex.jic,silkroad,zeal,ksport). given teins are good to buy if you want to use a coilover controller. the d2's are made in the same plant that apexi and a few others are made all they do is put their badge and paint on em and sell em at a higher price.

and btw any post on here giving feedback about certain products is a personal opinion.

Feedback can come in the form of facts not just personal opinions. If you think 500 more for JIC coils is a small difference then your pockets must be deep with cash. I'm not trying to insult you but you should understand that just because you used multiple brands on different rides, it does not mean people should assume that the specific brand will be consistent with other rides. You have no experience with any of the brands on the tC, so to say one is better then the other based on outside experience is wrong and misleading.
