Default Are these brakes legit??

http://www.3n1motorsports.com/catalo...9_160_204.html

Hey guys, i was looking at a site that was shared at another discussion, and i found these brake rotors. i've been trying to look for an upgrade braking system, and i was wondering, if i were to use these brake rotors with my original calipers and brakes, would it improve stopping power? if not, what do i need? and are there any better companies?

Theoretically, YES. But, I doubt you will notice too much difference. A Drilled and Slotted Rotor is supposed to cool better, reducing brake fade.

If you combine these with upgraded pads, you probably will notice some better stopping power, especially during times where your brakes would run hotter.

Alot of MKIV VW owners had these and had positive things to say about them. I like them for the look!

For the price point, they are good, but Big Brake kits are where you'll see the Significant difference.... but pay $$$$$$.

bzzzzzz. wrong.

drilled and slotted rotors are meant to let the gasses (from braking) escape form under the pad.
this lets the pad maintain contact to the rotor.

a vented rotor is for cooling.

yes, power slot rotors will help (more so with performance pads)

I used powerslots on my Z28 Camaro for years and they were great along with Hawk brake pads. If nothing else, they look a lot better than stock and if you ever need new rotors, they are cheaper than stock.

Also check out RacingBrake rotors. The quality of their rotors are unbeleivable. A couple of members from the forum have purchased them and have love the look/performance of the rotors. If you do a search I am sure you will come up with some results.

SS lines and a good set of pads is all you need.... not unless you race for a living...
