I went to the track yesterday. The turn out was pretty low, only about 15 cars. It was awesome though b/c I got nearly 2 hours of track time. This was only my third track day. I got some decent video from the morning sessions. The run after I took the camera out of the car, I went off in turn 4 (pretty much the same way I did in the video) except I was going about 10 mph faster and I was just leaving the turn. I drifted for about 20 yards on the pavement and then another 30 through the in field. I went through down an embankment, through a ditch with about a inch of standing muddy water and up another embankment. haha it was pretty scary but luckily nothing happened to the car except it got a nice mud bath. I didn't get any video from the afternoon b/c my camera was acting up, but after getting some advice and changing my line some, I was posting 1.39 to 1.41 lap times. For reference a stock s2000 with a very good driver posted a 1.38, an Evo with about 300whp, full coilovers and azenis RT-615 posted a 1.35 with an O.K. driver. I was able to keep up with the s2000 most of the time and the Evo would only grain ground on the straights. Also I stayed bumper to bumper with a 05 civic si with full exhaust, azenis, intake, springs, and a very good driver. That same civic was passing a guy with an elise all day long. The guy with the elise wasn't the best driver but it made me feel good that I could have kept up with him. here is the vid. I hope you like it.
