Default TRD Coilover Vs. H&R Coilover

Ok so i decided to go the coilover route and i thought i had my mind set on the H&R coilovers. But over the last week I got an offer for some TRD coilovers for $930 shipped. I can get the H&R shipped for $980.
My questions for you guys with either the TRD or the H&R coilovers is...

1. Which one is better, for the money?
2. Im not planning on slamming the car, but i do plan on auto-x ing sometime later this year. But if i did want to go for the slammed look which one would be better?
3. For you auto-x ers, which one is better for auto-x ing?

All input is apperciated!

essentially, i think theyre both about the same for auto-x. both are not damper adjustable. however, i think for a slammed look, the TRD does a better job because it can go lower in the rear...or maybe it was front, something like that.

I personally would go with H&R if I had to choose. Look around before you purchase..there are plenty of better coils for just a few more bucks.

Those are great! Im running them with the EDFC controller. The only coilover on the market where you can adjust the dampening from the inside of the vehicle (by using EDFC controller). I would get it from lastlookcustoms.

i recently installed TRD coilovers and i love em. im happy i went with them, they ride smooth and can go pretty low...my only complaint is they have a small amount of bounce to em but i think thats normal for coilovers ( i wouldnt know, first time with coilovers)

The TRDs are actually rebadged Progress coilovers from everything I've seen.

One thing to consider with the H&R is you have to use the factory mounting plate and cut the factory bump stops(not sure about the TRDs). Oh, and if you do get the H&Rs don't get worried when you see 'Toyota Avensis' on them.

Save yourself the trouble and go with Tein SSP w/pillowball mounts so that you wont have to cut or utilize any stock plates.

I don't think you have to necessarily cut any stock parts with other coilovers... but you do have to reuse the top plates of each of them.

True if the other coils you are using dont come with pillowball mounts. Im not sure about the cutting part. I was going with the guy who said something about cutting plates because I dont have any experience with TRD or H&R coils but I figured he did.
