TRD or Progress rear sway bar
Hey, i'm thinking about gettin a rear sway bar either TRD or Progress. I dont want a front and rear set because of the extra money for it and the install. I already have a DC front strut bar and TRD lowering springs on my car. Ok now that you know where i stand could you tell me which one performs better the TRD or the Progress? And even if i got the better of the two would i be able to tell feel a difference? thanks
ok if u had to pick between TRD and Progress, it b progress, because TRD barely makes a diffrence. Progress is like 130% stiffer than stock TRD isnt even half. Hotchkis is like 300% but u have to have somebody instal the front which is a pain.
sigh
TRD = 22 mm 2 hole adjustment
PROGRESS = 22mm 3 hole adjustable + adjustable endlinks
the progress bar is able to be stiffer
i have the progress, do i feel a diffference between the 2 bars? yes i do
$$ on progress

The TRD rear sway does make a difference. On a street setting it's 39% stiffer and on the race setting it's 64% stiffer. It's also made to work in conjunction with the TRD spring which you already have. I don't know a whole lot about the progess so I can't comment on it. If you are interested in the TRD rear sway please let me know.

Sorry to steal again, I'll probably go Hotchkins front & rear I wish McGreggor still had that $210 shipped deal the web site was down the last two days of the sale damn technology. TRD Sparks let me know if you got a sale like that coming up. I'll go with the best deal! I ain't getting rich down here.
Thanks all.
remember kids, the stiffer the bar, the harsher the ride on un-even, bumpy surfaces. i have the TRD bar set on track setting and it lifts one of my rear wheel off the ground whenever i drive into my driveway. but it worth it because i can definately tell the difference in handling.
OHHHH dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. That's painting a picture. Slight bit of scarcasim, but ultimately created a rembrant in my head!
^^ You ain't my daddy!
Are you?
I won't share to many of my opinions...... no hijacking today,
but I pick neither then..... my vote

the sway bar ties the two sides togather the stiffer the bar the more force that will be sent to the other side also as you increase the front or rear will have an effect on the opposite side so going to a larger rear bar will decrease rear traction but will also give a felling that front traction has been increased. also by going to much larger bar's you will decrease you traction on rough road's so you might want to becarefull when using large bar's on stock suspension. just make sure that the spring's you have are of a proper spring rate for the sway bar's you want.
