TRD Shocks & Stock Springs, what do you think?
I've got the TRD Springs and Shocks mounted up. I got to thinking about how high end cars have adjustable suspensions, that they have 'sport and luxury' type modes. All they are doing is adjusting the shocks. I would like to get some of my ride height back so I could mount some slightly larger in height tires to improve my ride. So I was thinking, could I mount my TRD Shocks on the stock springs?
Here's my thinking. If I mounted the stock springs on the TRD Shocks, that since I would have to compress the spring so much to get it on the TRD Shocks the ride would be lower then stock and stiffer as well because of the shocks. But here is my concern. If I did do that, would the spring make the shock run at or near full extension all the time and cause it to 'top out' all the time.
And lastly, for those with lots of suspension experience, lets assume my idea would at least function on the road. Would the stiffer shock and stock spring get rid of that dang squat that the stock suspension suffers from when accelerating and stopping?
Let's start a discussion on this. Thanks everyone.
