Default TRD springs

I was wondering for the springs, how noticeable is the drop? anyone got any pics? and where is the cheapest place for them? i found them for 144, is there anywhere cheaper? and how much was the install price for those who got in professionally done?

about 1" drop..mild but nice looking

I would reccomend TRDsparks or McGeorge parts to buy them...always good deals especially if you get them with shocks or a sway bar.

Install is kind of a pain because the rear upper mounts are hard to get to and require removing interior panels. Something around 200 is reasonable.

These questions have been asked answered many many times over already and a search would have answered all of your questions.

I installed a set on furn4ce's car last weekend in under 3 hours. I could probably get it down to about 2.5 hours if I did it again. Its not an super easy job but with good tools you can do it in about 4 hours your first time.

Cool...that looks like a pretty good drop for the tC. I wonder what it would look like for the xA. I am picking up my '06 xA tomorrow, and I will be looking to get better springs. I have been told by my dealer that anything other than the TRD Springs could possibly void my warranty. So I am going to end up with those probably. How much does it cost to have it done?

I recommend Hotchkis springs if you have the stock 17s. The fronts are relitively easy to install, but the rears are a pain in the ___. Only way to get the rears on is to jack up the spring into the car or take it to a shop with a wall compressor. Spring compressors wont work with the rear Hotchkis springs.

Its not required but definitely recommended. I havent had mine aligned and I installed it a couple mnths ago with no tire wear issues. I will be installing new wheels and tires in the next few months and will get it aligned then. Im really not worried about ruining the stock tires.

Oh and by the way, if that's how my 2006 xA will look when dropped with the TRD Springs then that will be awesome!! Although I don't know if I am going to put 19" on an xA. I might go with either a 15"-17" rims, but I am not sure yet. I have also been told to get new TRD Struts when getting the springs (not necessarily because I have to, but while they have the car in the air I might as well get those done as well).
I just hope that installation in New York won't run me too much, because here in New York they seem to want to overcharge for just about everything else! If anyone has any estimates as to how much it would cost please let me know. I know I would probably be better off having someone on here helping me with the install, but I just don't want to run into any problems with the dealer saying that because I had someone else do it that it voids my warranty.

Do you have any issues going over speed bumps with the TRD springs and the lipkit?
