TRD springs
#22
Silly question; I have the TRD Springs in my possession. Do I need to have them powder coated since they are white? I would leave them white if I could afford the TRD Shocks, but its X-mas and I'm poor. I do like the subtle drop of the TRD Springs. That's why I bought them. All I want is a more aggressive stance over stock springs.

I put mine on this afternoon! The wifey hooked up the springs for X-mas...it took my dad and i about 4 hours...not too bad without instruction or all the right tools...lol...i did get the alignment done though and the toe was pretty off, so if u do it, i would recommend having an alignment done. unless you don't car about your tires...lol...looks cool, can't wait till they fully settle.

I wouldn't powdercoat springs.... in order to PC, you have to heat them up afterwards and I'm not sure what that great heat would do to their performance and might contribute to their failure later.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but what is the problem that some people have with aligning the top of the spring correctly? I've got mine coming in on Friday and was planning on doing the install myself. Any tips or tricks needed to make the install go smoothly? I've got all the right tools and have installed springs before, but not on a tC. Is there a link on here that runs you through the install? Thanks so much...

The Search Function will yield some good results on TRD Spring Install.
The only tricky part is the rear springs, as they have to be lined up perfectly before uncompressing the springs, or else they wont go on right.... the first time I did a spring install, I had to recompress the rear spring again, just to get it in the right position.
