Default TRD springs alignment spec

So i lowered my car on TRD springs 2 months back and never did the alignment. I asked a mech I knew to do it but he said he needs the specs with the car lowered or the car wont be aligned properly? Anyway I started noticing feathering on the rear tires today and there is noticeable camber negativity on the rear wheels. Any suggestions? Alignment shop or are there really different specs.

i just had my alignment done at the dealership after i lowered my tc with trd springs, they said they had to use some special bolts to fix the camber, they obviously have the correct specs to do it properley, it cost me like 95 dollars, wich was ok cause i did the installation myself so i saved money there. hope that helped.

what special bolt do they need?

yeah i just got my alignment done at a local good year place and anyone who installed their own springs better get an alignment done...

i definately could feel the difference in cornering abilities although i wasnt experiencing any leaning towards one side or an other in straights..

get your alignment done somewhere where they are computerized, like most should...

hm, i thought an alignment wasn't necessary for trd springs. i just put a set on my car last night. i thought the trds don't have any camber issues.

I thought so too max but after a few months and about 3k mile i see the uneven wear starting so I gotta align it. The thing is 95 is a lot. Id rather take the specs elsewhere and get it done for cheaper.

im not sure what these 'special bolts" are, but when i called the dealership to schedule my alignment the guy said he needed some bolt to do it properly, then when i went in about three days later, a guy at the service desk said some bolts would be required to do the alignment. when i got the final invoice thingy, it said nothing about bolts, it just listed the serviced performed and the cost. so im not sure it these bolts were used or not or if the dealership was pulling something on me.

110% correct! ANY time you change something with your suspension you should get an alignment.

The bolts he's talking about are more than likely camber bolts. You do not need new camber bolts with TRD springs. Usually you can lower a car up to 1.5in before you need camber bolts. Now if you need the alignment specs or your shop needs the alignment specs they are on our site. Here's the link:

I got my alignment done after TRD install...I took my car to NTB,they charge me $85.00 for two alignments...so far no uneven tire wear after 4,000 miles.Iam taking my car back in three months or so to get it check and if it needs some alignment I won't be charge for it!

Get this. I tried to have my dealer do the alignment after I got my wheels (225/40/18 ) and my TRD springs installed and they said they didn't have the specs to do the alignment because my wheels were too big! They said they didn't have the specs and couldn't align my car. Is this BS or what?

That was really nice of you guys to put alignment instruction on your website. So let me ask this: Are these instructions intended for people who have install TRD springs?

I got my tC lowered last wednesday, wondering when I should get an alignment as well. Planning to get the alignment done at a local fireston tire station, they offer this lifetime alignment which I used to have for my 03 camry and I go in every 5,000 miles. It was only 200 some...I think it was a good deal, computerized alignment too!
