35 would be the max offset without sticking out anyway. So, you could actually go with an 8- 8.5(that's really pushing it though) wide rim with a 35 offset.
NOW, if you were on let's say a 40 offset with a 8 inch wide or larger no way. The wheel is tucked to much which would drastically decrease turnability.
Does that make sense to you?
i rub on a freeway with people sit at the back and hit bumps but no biggie cuz it rub slightly on the inner fender onto my outside wall of my wheels and it rubs only at the passenger side rear...
specs of my wheels and tires..
18x8 +40 offset 225/40/ZR18

How come my 18x8.5 +35 offset rim doesn't rub with the TRD Springs/Stock struts combo then?

Its just like the above poster. IF I go over a dip the inner lip of the fender is barley touching the outter wall of the tire.
If all of us on this tread are running TRD springs why is it that some are and some aren't.
Crappy product that is not consistently made?
People who say they are not rubbing are not noticing?
Camber in the rear?
oh my bizzle.. yes, i don't think im rubbing cause there are no gash marks on the inner fender or plastic wheel wells. I don't know why others have this problem. I am on the trd struts AND shocks. Maybe those who are have problems are just running the shocks but with stock struts.... idk. pics finally

Ok...I got a PM asking me how I'm not rubbing. And no, it wasn't from the OP.
Like they say; "A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words" or something like that.
Too many beers!!

Once again, 18x8.5 w/+35 offset. No rubbing. No uneven tire wear. :D Go figure.
