TRD Springs and Sway Bar Installed!! *Pics*
Ordered from McGeorgeParts.com for $280 shipped. Came in Monday. Installed Tuesday.
Total time: 8 hours (I know, I know)
Noticable difference in handling. The new look is quite subtle, changing the stance to look more agressive. Hard to tell as of now that its been dropped, but we'll see once they are settled in.
Did the install with a friend. The first spring we changed (driver side front) took about 2.5 hours. I have to admit I have never done any suspension work on a car until now so that is why I took so long. The second front spring took like 20 minutes lol. THats because once you do it a first time, you know what to expect. Same with the rears; one took like 2 hours, the other like one hour.
Installation was a pain in the ___. I didn't use any air tools, and the torque wrench I rented out was broken.
The swaybar was a peice of cake. Set it to race setting (inner holes)
The handling is much improved. I tested out on afreeway onramp by my work that has a sharp 90 degree bend. I went into the turn going pretty fast. The car didn't want to roll like it does with stock springs and sway bar. I'm looking into a front strut towar bar as another suspension upgrade. I think this will further improve rigidity and stiffness of the suspension and chassis.
Anyways, I didn't take pics during installation. I also don't have a before pic, but do have an after pic:
