Default using two different springs?

I'm not gonna wind up trying it, but after looking at the spring charts that tell how low they made the tC's, i was thinking would there be any adverse effects if you were to install say S-Tech's in the front and Hotchkis in the rear?

i think it'd be dumb just because you'd have to spend an extra 150-200 on a second set of springs that you're only gonna use half of. and i don't know how easy it'd be to sell rear or front springs only if you were to sell the two you didn't use.

but would there be any adverse effects as far as for the car itself?

I'm pretty sure springs are specifically designed to work together with specific spring rates.

Go to a different manufacturer (not distributor like TRD), and you'll get a different spring.

The suspension is designed to work in a certain way, and different handling on different points of the car will probably screw it up.

You could theoretically do the research to make a combination tailored to your specific wants and desires but that'd be better accomplished with a set of coilovers.

I wouldn't mix springs unless you can find two sets with complimentary rates. Coilovers are the way to go if it really bugs you.

btw H-techs are a perfectly even drop. 2 finger gap all the way around on mine.

I've done exactly what you're asking about on my xB. I wanted a very aggressive and specific stance. The front springs are Dropzone and the rears are TEIN. Gives the car a little rake and its slammed. Yeah I paid for two sets of springs but it worked. The car looks awesome and it handles awesome...
