Default What Is Road Noise?

OK.....So, just leave your definition of what road noise is. I keep getting A BAD vibration from my tC when I brake or drive any where. It sounds like a axle problem, and its loader then my 12" Sub in the trunk. The dealer told me it was "Road Noise" ................. ............. I know what road noise is and its not at all. I just want to hear what everyone thinks and tell me what your definiotn is for road noise. Thanks Guys

unless you're on a really rough road or it's all gravel, braking doesn't amplify "road noise".. if you can feel something in your brake pedal, then it's something with the brakes not road noise.. Your dealer is an idiot. Find another dealer, that's a terrible excuse.

Road noise is usually like once the car is driving.. the tires would make a loud humming sound.. It can also be wind noise against the glass.. But it's usually directed at tires that cause road noise, you can hear all that the tires are doing, like if the car didn't have enough sound insulation. Thinks like that.. it's all about what you can HEAR.. NOT what you FEEL..

I'd take it to another dealer and show this problem to them.. let us know.. but don't take that excuse, that's a hilarious lie they told you..

Yeah I was laughing so hard when they told me this. Man I can't believe how they just say anything to people. I'll keep you guys posted. I only have 5000 miles and I am already having problems on my tC and I still have the same HP as stock. I am picking the car up today and taking it to another dealer.

you should tell the manager he's hiring idiots. might help to take it where you bought and get your sales person to pull strings, moreso if you feel unsafe driving the car like that, i would say that's certainly not normal.

when my hub assembly was broken, the wheel made a loud humming sound after 20mph+. Also, you noticed an ever so slight vibration in the steering wheel at all speeds.

So, today the dealer told me he could prove to me it was the tires......AND HE DID......... ....I have bubbles in the tires he says and i need to buy new ones. On the way home I opened the car up on the road and I noticed at 90-120 I had no control of the car.....Man it sucked compared to when I first bought the car...Anyone have any ideas on new tires? I need all season and that get good grip. I need a tire that can handle a drag race, snow, rain...Any Ideas?

bubbles do not equal road noise. that's hazard. you still have the Potenzas? that explains everything, piece of ____ tires. edgeracing.com I love my Falken 512 great and cheap and i actually feel safer. and driving 90-120 constantly is stupid.

You have 5000 miles and the tires are bubbling? I would tell the dealership to give you new tires. No reason you should be paying to replace those tires when it is a defect with the tires. Not like you have 30k miles on them.
