I was curious what kind of tires you all would recommend for the tC to AutoX.

The tires would be wrapping the stock tC wheels until I purchase another set of wheels.
But for now I am interested in getting a set of tires to AutoX.

What would you guys prefer/recommend?

I figured if I would go out to the track every now and again and put my car on the grip track I would have a better set of tires so I could get better traction rather than the stock tires that comes with the car.

Thanks for you guys input.

Don't get me wrong, those are great tires, but not the best in this case. You can't run R-Compounds in STS. David's car would be in STS.

I suggest, as others have already said, Falken Azenis. I have 225/45/17 RT-615's on my stock wheels. One thing to note is that these tires perform better after they have 300-500 miles on them. I had been using mine only for AutoXing, so they had minimal wear on them, until I learned this last weekend. Now I think I have them sufficiently broken in for the next race.

I got mine from http://www.discounttiredirect.com. They are currently $155 each. They also have Azenis Sport for $110 and Azenis ST115's for $94. You can also currently get free ground shipping.

David, the next two DELTA events are on 7/31 and 8/14 at Belle Chasse. The next CENLA event is on 8/20 at EVOC. Click for more Info.

any word on the ST-615s? I have S-03s on the Matrix, and they will need replacing soon.

Another vote for Azenis Sports. They have stiff sidewalls, not ideal for drag racing, but they are amazing on the autox. Plus, they are cheap too!
