Default Will 18x8.5 rub?

Need some help! I just bought a 2005 TC and its been lowered 2 inches.....I am wanting to put a set of stern st-2 chrome wheels on there. The setup would be 18x8.5 all around and the wheel has a 38 offset......anyone know if this will cause the wheels to rub? If so, what would be a good setup to go with?

8.5 & et38. that setup sticks out 25mm over stock. thats very close to rubbing, but i think you'll be fine as long as you: dont add weight in the rear, dont corner hard, avoid bumps, and get a narrow tire (215/35 or 215/40)

It will most likely rub. I have a 1.4" drop with H&Rs and 18x8 HP Evo wheels with a 38MM offset. I rub under extreme cornering and a quick/sudden dip. Using 225/35/18.

Yes it will rub. You need a +48 offset to clear with the optimum sized tire 245/35/18. I have 17 x 8.5 with 245/40/17 and a +48 offset. It does not rub ever.

I still have no idea why you guys like 225s. One drive on 245s and you'll never go back. It really is a 3000+ lb car as soon as the driver sits in it, and it needs rubber under it to get grip.
