*I need tires*
Im in the market for new tires. Im currently running with Nankang NS II 225/40/18. I had to run to Discount Tire Co. to get one changed cause i got a flat somehow? Anywho, I went today to purchase some Toyo Proxes4. Placed the order and they gave me a loaner Dunlop tire to ride so i wont have to use the spare untill they come in. I come home and start reading the receipt and realize he orderd the Toyo Proxes FZ-4 not the 4. Knowone local sells Toyo which is why im starting to steer away from them just incase i need to get a quick replacement. Im now looking into either Falken FK-452's or the guy at the tire shop was saying he loves his Kumho Ecsta SPT's. Im not too sure on which ones i want to go with? Im leaning towards the Falkens at the moment. I want to purchase them sometime either tomorrow or wednesday to have them on by the weekend? The Falkens are $151/each and the Kumhos are $116/each? I want a smooth ride and still good in wet and hot weather. Im going to start looking at reviews on each but just wanted yalls opinion. Im going to be going with the same size 225/40/18. TIA.

I have Kumhos and they grip really good (in wet weather too) and are QUIET at high speeds. $116 ea.? Print THIS out and take it to Discount Tire. They should price match. That's what I have done the last 4 times I have purchased tires at America's Tire Co. (It's all the same company.) They have complied with no questions asked.
Here's the info for the Falken FK 452s also. I have had Falkens and they were extremely noisy at high speeds. The info provided should save you a few bucks and help you out with your decision.

yanki im gettin my bfg tires tomorrow, ill let you know how they go. i dont really recommend the proxie 4s my friend has them on his type s and they wear pretty fast. the bfg have a 300 tread wear too which should last a while as long as y ou dont abuse them. plus tehy aren extremely expensive.

If you are looking into Falkens, I would take a look at the Ziex ZE912. Little bit higher treadware (360), AA traction, all-season (if you need them), and $40 cheaper a tire (from Edge Racing.)
Detailed info on Falken's site: http://www.falkentire.com/ze912_sizes.html
$88 a tire on Edge Racing's site: http://edgeracing.com/tire/5488/

I wouldnt recommend the FK452's if you drive your car hard.. they dont grip for ****.
these are the tires i am looking into getting next:
-Toyo Proxxes 4
-BFG KDW
-Nitto NT55
-Falken RT615(if they ever produce my size)
anything will be an improvement over your nankangs for sure tho.

I love my Falken Azenis (RT615) but they might not be the best in wet weather.. Really grippy in dry though.
My friend has BFG G-Forces and he says he can't be happier with his tires. They grip well in wet conditions too. I'm thinking of buying these if it starts to rain a lot in San Diego. Lol.
