get 225/40.
215/35 is too thin and you'll end up bending or cracking your wheels.

btw, you can fit a 33 offset at 18x7.5, which I had.

NY doesnt suck for drops. I live in Staten Island, and drive all over the city, dropped on a Hotchkis Suspension on 18X8 wheels with a 225/18 tire.

Ive never damaged a wheel, bottomed out, or anything else. You just need to pay a little more attention to the road and how fast you are going. Thats all.

And im not the only one here like this, there are about 5 other tCs in the crew who are also dropped on rims in NYC

The higher the tread rating the longer it lasts, but the lesss performance it gives out. The lower the tread rating the better it sticks, but does not last long.

It is really hard to compare treadwear ratings with different companies because they rate them differently. It is onlt accurate when you compare them to the same brand. The Hankooks, believe it or not, last longer than the Falkens. Personally, my wife has the Hankooks on her car and thay are really not that great at all. I would choose Falkens over Hankooks any day.

Not a problem. Take your time. I know how bills can be.
