It's probably due to the offset. The rear wheel wells are slightly wider than the front wheel wells. Add to the fact that the front end naturally (before you lowered it) sits lower and you can see why. Is it really that bad? I have 18x8.5 Fliks on TRD Springs and the only time I rub is when there are big dips (no, not people ) in the roads. Honestly, I don't know how to remedy your situation. (Without buying a different offset.) Sorry.

i have the same rims sciCoTc...
im also dropped on tein s-techs and mine are so settled...when i have the rims on in teh summer i also rub...both tires in teh front its ok i had my body shop check it out since the wheel wells are plastic the worst thing is it will melt the plastic but wont blow a tire..we ended up cutting the plastic out about12" on the top so now when i hit a bump or something when i woudl usaully rub i dont anymore..

after cutting out the plastic i didnt want water and crap goin up there so we just made teh plastic higher..teh wonders of a body shop..lol...

but had the same problem an dwas deff worried..wut kinda tires you have ....i have hankook 225/45zr...

well..right now i had surgery on my left leg i blew my acl out and tore cartilage and have well had a huge hole in my maniscus..but i will ill have my bro do it....

we just kinda built a little platform out of sheetmetal like a wall straight up from where we cut the plastic out we added about 2" it was perfect...then just added plastic from end to end..its kinda hard to explain but it works its not in the way off anything and i didnt add any weight..lol...
