Default 19s with H-Techs or S-Techs?

I hear that the H-Techs are PERFECT for 19s and yet, some people have S-Techs with them and say there are no problems with rubbing and such. I want to have the best drop as possible without getting any rubbing. S-Techs seems kinda a bit too much, but some people seems to not have any problems with them. I would like to hear some user experiences and thoughts on these springs with the 19s. Any pics of 19s with the S-Techs and/or H-Techs? Would like to see the difference.

Default s-techs vs h-techs

theres wickys 19"s with s-techs, as you can see they obviously rub when driving over bumps or bad roads. i heard the h-techs are better as well should be low enough to get the look yet about .5-1" more clearance.

Yea, I've seen that pic before, wouldn't want to turn and hit a bump and it would rub the fenders like crazy. I want a NO gap look. Are the H-Techs perfect for it?

well i dont understand. those s-tech springs have the no gap look on the front with minimal on the back, but obviously if you get something higher its gonna put a gap. not sure if i get what you were implying.

Yeah, thats my car. I have no rubbing problems at all except for one thing that no mechanic or (i dont know how to put this) intelligent car person can tell me, I have been to 3 different shops and didnt get a definent answer from either one. I only rub on my front driver side, every ones guess is because i sit on that side and that side is worn out more than the other side, or the springs were slightly sized different. I dont know, but I think that the s-tech drop is pefect with 19's. Not one other tire rubs on any bumps or dips except that one. So its a good buy. Hope I helped.

I have 19s and S-techs, there is no rubbing issues except when hitting a big dip on the road, then the tires rub the inner fender liner. To get your tires to turn like the picture above, you need to turn your wheel about 1 1/2 times. During normal driving your wheels should never pop out that much, so having your wheel hit your fender due to a bump is pretty nonexistant unless you're autocrossing around your town's back roads filled with mean potholes.

Hmm, I don't want the fender to hide any of the tires, so any of you have any pics with S-Techs with 19s on a side view? Far and up-close would help. It seems that S-Techs are the way to go, but I hear that the H-Tech is more comfortable and is made with better material. Adamatine or something?

heheh...did you just get back from watching the new X-men movie?

i'm no expert...but i think you're talking about the material vanadium. i think it's main advantage is it's light weight quality.

but again...i'm no expert.

Haha, that's so funny. Because I did. I am so lame. HAHA, but yea, I meant Vanadium. I think I will go with the H-Techs for extra safety. I would like to see comparison pics tho.

lol, adamantium. S-techs offer a > 1 finger gap in the front, at eye level angles, it may look as if the front is tucking in some. If this is not the look you are going for, you are better off getting H-techs which offer pretty much a softer ride at the cost of spring rate and drop size.

Yea, picking between these two is kinda driving me crazy, because I don't want to get the H-Techs and wish I had gotten the S-Techs or get the S-Techs and wish I had gotten the H-Techs. I'm pretty sure the S-Techs will rub with 19s, so I might just go with H-Techs.

Not sure if this will help or not, but my tC is on the TEIN basics, lowered approx. 1.5-1.75". The wheels are 19" OZ Superleggera's. Perfect clearance, and like everyone stated, you only get a little rubbing in the front if you hit a BIG dip/bump.

PLEASE give OFFSET.. This is seriously one of the most important things to tell people next to width and tire size. Not griping at you, but there are so many who post pics on rims and after a lot of questions and poor use of bandwidth, we finally get the info that will be asked sooner or later. sorry a little peaved about this issue....

Sorry, didn't realize that my post would cause you such heartache. I'll post the information when I retrieve it.
