not necessarily, i know exactly how my car will handle. infact it handles the same now (1.5" drop roughly) as it did when i had my 2.5 inch drop

No it doesnt. Not unless you had new spindles/suspension pickup points custom made for the car to acheive that 2.5 inch drop.

Unless you go out and push the car on a track, course, etc regularly and under both setups you have no idea how it really handles under an emergency situation. If you do nothing but daily drive it.. you know how it handles on a daily drive.. maybe pushing a corner every now and then. Taking it to the limits of traction on a track tells you a thousand times more how your changes have affected handling.

Roll couple is not improved (and most times harmed) on a macpherson strut setup when you over - lower.

You are WELL into the positive part of the camber curve when you lower 2.5 inches. That means your traction decreases sharply as the suspension compresses. So there is no way possible your car handles as well at a 2.5 inch drop as it does at a 1.5 inch drop. If you took both setups and threw the car into an emergency lane change or abrupt transition at speed, the slammed setup would not grip as well. That is just the geometry of a suspension setup in action.
