Default 20" wheels with tien s-techs? On a tC

I still havent decided between 18, 19 or 20" wheels...
I want 19's but it seems they are the priciest.
As 18's and 20's get more popular the prices are fallin.
Ive seen some nice tc's with 20's but I havent seen what springs they are runnin.
Im gettin my s-tecs installed tomorrow.
Thanx
-Drew

20"s might be too much with that kind of drop! I plan on getting 19" with maybe trd drop or something.... Search around the thread and butter/corner craver forums and you should find some answers.

If you have a lot of potholes where you live you'll never get out of 3rd gear with 20's. I have the stock 17's and Im so conscious going over ever little bump. that's just me though, but I say 20's too big playa

uhh, my tires rub on my stock 18's...there is NO gap between the tires and wheel well of my car... I'll take a pictures of how low your car will be with s-techs when i get home.

If you are set on getting 19's or 20's I'd go with TRD springs, or something w/ a less aggressive drop.

I have 19's with my Tein's and I have no rubbing what so ever and am completely confident that if I went up to 20's I would have little to no rubbing either.

Just be careful with your car and everything will be fine.

those 20's look hot. thanks for posting and putting this issue to rest... 1 question... what is your offset and wheel width? That will help out anyone who wants to go with 20's.

Thanks.

They have 7.5 width and either 38 or 45 offset, depending on what he bought... The reason they don't rub is that he's running 7.5, plus a 30 tire... which is not as wide and definately low profile..

I run a 19x8 Setup with 235/35/19 tires and a 40 offset and get occasional rubbing on BIG bumps...

For aesthetics sake... I suggest running anything bigger than 18-19 with a 8 inch width... then the tires look like they fit their size, otherwise, they tend to look skinny IMHO.

and if you go bigger than 19, expect to lose some ride quality and watch out for potholes... cause 30 height tires get pretty thin...

19x8's are a great mix of ride quality/performance/looks

yes that is true.. Im running a 20x7.5. plus a thin tire. but then again Im not like everyone else running 19's though either. I do pay alot of attention to the road. You have to know matter what rim and tire combo you go with. You can bend a rim pretty easy. This isnt my first set of 20's on something either though. So I guess Im used to it.

^^^ good info. I've ran 19's on my past two cars so i know what you mean about having the right size wheel/tire combo. No rubbing on either set up...

I have 19x8 Unknowns with 235.35.19 tires and TRD springs and have VERY little rubbing issues....

Definately go with the BF Goodrich G-Force KDW NT's for a great look... If you want to see them, I'll be at the drive next weekend from SD-LA and also at the SE kickoff show...
