24 pounds 17" rims heavy or average?
Heavy. Is that for 17x7? Including tires or no? If just the rims, then yes, 24 lb. each is heavy. what brand?
Above all, they are heavier than stock, which will result in diminished handling and ride quality characteristics.

"huge" is a relative term, but yes, it will make a very noticeable and significant difference.
I am no techie nor am i good with numbers and equations, but there is some kind of calculation that shows how the additional weight at each corner adds up and turns out to be a drastic difference over stock.
its all about sprung vs. unsprung weight and such. very confusing, but the short answer is yes.
+ 1lb heavier wheels on all 4 corners makes a noticeable difference. +4 will be very significant.

umm... well i think the rims. but thats my theory. since the car's engine has to move the wheels in different sections of the car where a fat guy sits and balances to each wheel. IONO!!! haha
Something mythbusters would have to check on. But yes these will drop ur gas mileage.

My 17" rims and tire wheigh 2lb more than my stock ones, and my gas milage is the same for both.
Don't notice any handling changes either, but then again i am not useing timed clockes at the track.
