Default aftermarket rotors question

i bought a set of slotted rotors for my scion, got them from amazon, but i did the rears,it was actually i bit thicker then the oem ones and was scraping on a little metal frame just before the heat shield,it fit perfect, but was scraping on some metal piece, that aint normal right, should fit nice with no clearance issues ,i wound up just hitting the metal back plate just enough,so when you spin the rotor it spins freely,it didnt do that before with out modiyfing anything,i just want to make sure,,probably got some cheap knock off ones, they look decent and nice, nothing cheaply made, dont have pics, but i just want to know if this is a common issue which i dont think so,i didnt do the fronts yet,as i may have the same issue, clearance issue,a bit thicker then stock thats all

very interesting, they didnt mention that on the diy here,i guess some are different, its not like i bought cheap ebay ones, these fit perfect, just couldnt figure out what was scraping until we saw some bare metal on the backing plate, then pounded it back a little bit,and boom problem solved,i guess it was a tad bit thicker,or either that i bent it by accident taking the stock one off,i assume gonna have the same issue on the fronts
