Anodizing polish metal lip...please help!
hey guys, i have a set of speedy lite 8's. there 8 spoke 18" black wheels with a 2" polished lip. the lip looks absolutly terrible right now from just normal wear and tear. I have two options, figure out how to repolish it and get all the gunk off (tried every cleaner on the market), or anodizing the lip to color match the car.
if i go with option two, ill dismount the wheels and tape them up however i need to know whats the best course of action in order to "PREP" the lip for paint. For example, with all the crud on the wheels now, i think the finish will be affected, is there any way to lightly sand this stuff off to prep for paint but no leave a bad finish for the paint to go on? Also, should i use a clear coat? Im going with duplicolor anodized matal paint by the way!
