Anyone here running wider tires on factory rims....
I've heard of someone running 235s on the stockies but i am skeptical. I have 225/45/r17 on one of my sets of wheels (stockies) and they just barely poke. With wider tires you are gonna getter better dry traction, but narrower tires are better for prevently hydroplaning in the rain and they are better for in the snow/ice. But yea i wouldn't go over 225s
well i'm not exactly stock specs, but my aftermarket wheels are 17x7, just lower offset and i'm running 225s on them. first impression was there was a lot more play at highway speeds with my steering wheel. road noise went up, and i don't autox or anything so i haven't had a chance to do a 215 vs 225 handling contest. also all my friends either saw my tires and said "WOW BEEF!" or "TRUCKIN!". oh well, i'll be going back to 215 soon
