Default Auto repair store lost my wheel lock....

To the point, they lost my wheel lock and told me to go buy another one and they would reimburse me. That was fine and I went and bought a new lock set, but my question is will the new lock be able to take off the wheel locks that are on my tires right now? The people at toyota never cautioned me about it so I assume it will, but then if thats the case whats the point of wheel locks if you can just buy the lock at your local dealership?

If they are factory locks, the new ones will not unlock the old ones( there are about 16 different keys). Just go by the dealer and they should have a master lock key set and can get the old ones off for you.

You dont have to order a whole new set of four, once the toyota dealer finds the one that fits you can order just the key. I think its around ~20.
