Default Biggest spacer that can be run "safely"?

I know spacers probably aren't technically safe since you're altering blahblah... but I just bought some Ichiba hubcentric 20mm spacers off a member here and it barely pulls my wheels out to hellaflush. How big can you go without sacrificing structural integrity/safety?

I plan on running either 35mm adapters or spacers depending on the wheels i choose. Idk I'd prefer true spec'd wheels of course but it doesn't always happen. I ran 20mm's no problem, I'd say you'll probably be safe with 35mm. I used some craftsman deep neck sockets on my adapters.
