Same thing happened to me. Did yo have the Bridgestone Potenzas? Some stock tires aren't made to last more than 20k.

Ran the postenzas for 33k with no issues. Probably could have gone further. There is a lot of reasons your tire could have blown. Without seeing the tire there is no way to tell. Sounds like you had a bad one or some poor wear going on.

Please turn off the caps lock

Only have my potenzas for 8000 miles. Then I got the Falken ST-115 to put on my stock rims. Potenzas are sitting in the back yard as back-ups.

i blew 3 (yeah i said three) factorys in under 10k (no racing) the first i took to the dealer and no problems replacing it. the second i was at home and saw it was flat and discount is right around the corner from me so i went there got the hook up on free certs all the way around and then finally the third blew close to 10k and figured that the stocks are $h!t so i went ahead and told them to change the last one as well the stock tires were a nightmare always low pressure, were magnets for nails, rocks (yeah they found a rock that popped the tire) and anything you could imagine. so yeah i guees my advice is to dump them and run spend the money on certs and get new tires!!! that has been the only complaint i have ever had with my tC

A blown tire does exactly that, it blows out suddenly. It sounds by your description that they leaked down due to punctures, which can happen to any tire if it is punctured.
