well you can go for a big brake upgrade, like stoptech or endless, which come with new calipers, or you can just get new rotors, such as powerslot. From what i hear, you dont really need a big brake upgrade unless your are going turbo or something like that
You will get nearly zero benefit from a bbk kit or slotted rotors on this car. The brakes are very stout, and are already more than limited by traction.
BBK's or slotted rotors in this application are for heat dissipation. If you are drag racing, autoxing or street driving, you are not pushing the brakes enough to need it. If you are road racing, then you will see some benefit since the brakes will be less prone to heating and fading. But the rest of the time you arent pushing them enough to need it.
If you are to the point you need new rotors, and can find some good slotted ones at a decent price, then it wont hurt to get them. But dont expect to buy them and make a big difference in stopping power. Think about it this way: You can slam on the brakes and set off the ABS instantly, meaning the brakes bite very well and more than firm enough. Adding more brake power will do nothing since you are already more than exceeding the limits of the tires.
On high end sports cars, they usually have much larger and wider wheels which take a lot more force to stop due to rotational inertia and leverage (for larger diameters). This takes a larger, more powerful brake to stop. Also, those cars are expected to be run on a road course, necessitating a system that can get rid of heat more quickly.
The best real improvement for the average person on here IMO is just some good pads when the stocks wear out. I run axiss deluxe plus and love them. They have a good initial bite and dont create a ton of dust or wear the rotors quickly. They are all I really need for autox as well. You can go more agressive, but you will have more dust, shorter life and possibly will wear rotors quickly. If you drive on the street and dont care about autox or hard driving, just get some oem pads or the ones I just mentioned.

If you'd like a more responsive feeling brake pedal pick up some stainless steel brake lines. It give a really firm feeling, takes out the factory squish, and allows you to more finely moderate how much braking force you're applying.
Less marshmellow, more like a fine lever action.

Yep, for feel you can go that route. Also, some will try to sell you a high dollar brake fluid as well. Again, unless you are road racing and severly heating the brakes, you dont need that either. However, on the flip side, if you are on a road race track, you SHOULD definitely run a better fluid in the brakes. I personally know someone who took thier vette to the Brainard raceway and ran stock fluid. It boiled on a 100 mph turn entrance, they lost braking, spun out and did a few thousand in damage to the car.

wow thats a lot of great info thanks a lot guys, i do plan to get a s/c next springthe price finally dropped
lap, along with intake (which they dont recommend with the s/c) and headers/s-pipe. but again thanks a lot im going to take a look at dezod.com
