Default Choosing between 2 Sportmax Wheels + Wheel weight info!

OK, so I may be buying new wheels since I've decided not to buy the 2006 GTO (it was at a tempting $26,88. These are my two choices from Sportmax since Exel seems a bit on the soft side from various sources. If you have evidence otherwise and think Exel is just fine, please share. If you have Exel wheel weight numbers, it would be even better.

17x7, 5x100, Bronze weighing in at 25lbs each
or

17x7, 5x100, Dark Chrome weighing in at 25lbs each

They are a bit heavy but still within reasonable limits at 3lbs over stock. I got the numbers by calling Ensure wheels who makes the Sportmax stuff.

Which do you think would go with my SW? I'll take your suggestions into consideration when choosing one. Thanks.

well if you're concerned aobut weight, sportmax has a lighter weight wheel called sportmax 003, 17x7 for 5x100 only weights about 15.85lbs w/ out tires.

Dont really know the exact offset because they dont list them on the website but im pretty sure you can contact sportmax to find out. im assuming the offset will be like normal but the 20x10 might have a low offset.

I called them up to get the 17x7 weight info. They told me it was 25 lbs. This is strange...

Offsets are 42 and 40 I believe. Not sure which is which.

Keep in mind that the 003s are more expensive than other sportmax's ($200 - $350 a piece for the 003s). They are lighter and stronger though (forged wheels). With that said the offsets are:

18x7.5 / 5x100 / +42
17x7 /5x100 / +40

pictures:

They have 20s too, but I dought they'd fit on the tc.

Well forged wheels are naturally gonna be more expensive, look at how much HRE, iForged, DPE etc wheels costs per wheel. Good job on the heads up for the offset on those wheels.

now if you're looking for lighter rims that are still in a similar price bracket as the other sportmax's (sub $200 a wheel)

Team Dynamics Pro Race 1s:
17x7s = 16 pounds
17x7.5s = 18.25 pounds
17x8s = 19.8 pounds

Konig Helium
17x7 = 19.8 pounds

Konig Holes
17x7 = 17.84 pounds

Rota Attack
17x7 = 15.5

Rota Subzero
17x7 = 16.5
17x7.5 = 16.9

and the list goes on...depends on what you like and how much you want to spend I guess...

BUT...to stay on topic out of the 2 I like the bronze ones better

Thanks Burn0ut, I don't mind a bit more weight, 25 is still reasonable. The wheels you've mentioned are nice but I picked out those two because I like their styling. As long as they are not excessively heavy, I can live with them. They are no more than $130 each and probably less from the wholesaler that I talk to.
