Ok, so besides some 19's maybe being heavier than a set of 18's or whatever you want to compare them with, are there any disadvantages just because of their size? Will performance lost be noticeable or not really any difference? I'm stuck in the middle, i want 19's for looks but don't want to sacrifice too much.

smaller profile tire to keep same circumference... you're gonna feel the road alot more.. and most of it in a not-so-good way... and rims will get damaged easier from things like potholes.

i've had 17s, 18s, and now 19s on my TC all within the past few months and i will say that imho 19s "look" the best, i wish i would have bought a set of 17x8's and went with a wide tire. you can also find 19s that weigh the same or even less than some 18s and 17s, it just depends on how much coin you wanna spend

I would also say your gas mileage will decrease. I agree too that you will feel the road more.

I am actually considering putting 19s on mine. Right now have 18s and I like em, but want something new.

Velocity is indirectly proportional to radius. The wider the radius (or diameter) of your wheels, the more energy it will take to spin it at the same velocity. Larger wheels put more weight towards the perimeter so your velocity at any given RPM will decrease.

The size of your tire will effect your gearing. Go up an inch and you wheels will have fewer revolutions per rpm of the motor.

Drag and autocross racers run the smallest tires they can and still maintain grip, ZPI runs 16" slicks for example. Id stay with 17"s or 18"s. Most racers consider anything above 17" a waste and just for show.

Yep, big rims are just for show! The biggest I'd go on a tC would be 18's, plus the cost of tires after going above that size becomes outrageous as if to say the tires for the stock ones are cheap either, cuz they aren't.

lol i love my 19's. i'm selling them tho so i'm sad to see them go. They're lighter than stock and they aren't that expensive. if your seriously contemplating it.
