Ok I am totally dissapointed with my 14.9 at the drag strip so I need tires. I am going to use two of my stock wheels to put some grippy tires on them. I searched online to see what I can get, now I need to know what people reccomend.
Here is what I found. Can someone WITH KNOWLEDGE OF THE SUBJECT tell me what is the best for the drag strip once a month or so.
Oh and what size do you reccomend for the stock 17's? Should I stick to 215's or can I stretch to 225s?
Nitto Nt-01 225-45-17 $166 http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...tp=Competition (they only come in 205 or 225 or bigger)
Nitto NT 555R Drag Radial 245-45-17 $145 http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...tp=Competition (only size even close)
Yokohama ADVAN A048 215-45-17 $219 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compar...None&x=33&y=10
Or can I just get an Ultra high Performance tire for cheaper and get good results. I have been doing alot of research and now need opinions.
Thanks in advance.

No I am on 18's. With Kumho tires, that I might add SUCK SUCK SUCK.
I am thinking of trying my stock potenzas at the track, but I dont think they would be much better than my 18's. They have been sitting out back since the day I got the car, and I need to put them to use. So I figured to super sticky ones would make my times better.

These ones:
BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial Tires 225-45-17 $137.95

If you want to be sure, I'd wait for a few more replies... but I think at the VERY least, these would be a pretty good jump up from the tires on your 18s. And they're pretty decently priced.
And on tirerack, they're a few $$ cheaper, but I don't know about shipping.

And here's the link to the new T/A Drag Radial 2;

If you want to drive with your 1/4 mile tires on the street, either of the above are your best bet. However, if you don't mind changing your front tires at the track, you might be better off looking for some slicks that'll fit the stock 17" rims, or even finding some 15" steel wheels to mount slicks on.

Thanks for the links. I dont mind changing at the track because its an hour drive and I wouldnt want to put to much wear on the drag tires. I will search for slicks. as well.
Any more input anyone? I need to get my times down.

dude 14.9 is not too shabby with those rims of yours. im around that number with stock tires and higher elevation.
did you play around with the tire pressure ?
you werent dippin it on the waterbox ?
i would just use the stock rim and add 225's drag radial.
