My car recently was victim of a hit and run and the bodyshop ordered a new wheel and tire for my car in addition to several other things. When i brought the car home it was flawless, however i noticed something about the tire. The tire they put on it has no rim guard like the other 3 of mine do, however they are all the same Bridgestone turanza el400. Does anyone know whats up with this? Did these tires come with and without this or something?

 

that is weird, on tirerack they have 2 different versions one has a W speed rating and the other has a Z rating but they list the width as the same. Wonder if they changed them.

 

i noticed a number on the tires. t0502 on the new one, and t0508 on the old one... but i cant find anything about those numbers online. Im going to take the wheels up there tomorrow and show the bodyshop... i just dont know how their going to know what to order lol.

 

my guess is they changed the design and if that is the case then you are pretty much screwed, which sucks.

 

Well if so, I still have 4 extras in my outbuilding.. lol
