? the seller hasn't filled you in? "5georgia", 7 inch wide rims or 8.5 inch wide rims can be moved in and out inside the wheel well based upon another measurement called the "Offset". The offset of a wheel is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel. The offset can be one of three types.
Zero Offset
The hub mounting surface is even with the centerline of the wheel.
Positive
The hub mounting surface is toward the outside or wheel side of the wheel.
Negative
The hub mounting surface is toward the inside or brake side of the wheels centerline. "Deep dish" wheels are typically a negative offset.
When the width of the wheel changes, the offset also changes numerically. If the offset were to stay the same when you added width, the additional width would push the wheel outside the wheel well. So when the whell gets wider the offest brings it back into the well. Kinda like splitting it evenly between the inside and outside.

The rim width has little to do with rubbing (for the most part) but the offset does. 7, 7.5, 8, and 8.5 can all fit inside the well depending upon the offset.
professional wheel fitters know which wheels regardless of 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, etc., fit in our wells. You need to check the offset math or you may have to roll the fenders/quarters if you get too crazy.

Now that i've done wheels 101....does the vendor say they'll fit? if not contact the manufacturer...

another issue is stud length. many wheels are the same bolt pattern but cannot be used because of a different stud length (it can be a safety issue).

I noticed that too on that web site it says itll fit tc. The thing is the vendor doesnt tell you the offset of the rim. However sportmaxx's website does
http://www.sportmaxwheel.com/pr_wh_962.shtml# go to that link and hit view specs. It tells you that the 17 by 9 has a 35 offset. Now go to the tech section at 1010tires.com and click wheel offset calculator. According to that calculator the wheel will extend out an extra 35mm. Im not sure but that may be too much. Someone else could confirm this.

HERE is the link in the FAQ ^ there re: stock wheels. the stock wheel have a positive offset of 45mm or 1.8" on a 7" wheel. on a 9" wheel to "eyeball it" you would take a ruler to the car and add and inch out from the stock wheel minus the 10mm offset difference (about 1/2"). should be okay on the outside, i didn't check the inside(but i'm no expert)

i'd trust the seller to know if there would be a fitment issue if they are reputable.

Ok saying Im just going to get the 18x7.5 will the wheels extend outside? I tried the offset calculator but Im still no pro so Im not sure If im doing it correctly... I just want the wheels to align close to stock or go in a little bit! Btw the offset of the 18x7.5 is 38mm and the stock wheel is what 45 mm?? So does this mean the wheel will be pushed in towards the brake? Btw I think these things are about 24 lbs does anybody know what the stock tc rim weighs? I might have to put the stock rim on if I go to a autocross event lol
