Default How much will powdercoating rims cost me??

Well I have been looking for the right wheels for my brand new BCP TC. I can't find exactly what I want -> 18" gold w/ machined lip with a nice design. After only finding very slim pickings I think I want to get a design I like and have them powder coated. I have no idea how the process works or if there are any local places that does this. I also have no idea how much it would cost me. I am located in columbus, ohio.

here is a quick photoshop of what I am looking for (this is a konig crosshair)

btw... what would be a good set of tires to get with these if I do decide to get them?

Any information you guys can bestow upon me will help :0

This has been discussed numerous times. Do a search and you'll find more. Here is one post:

I actualy did a search on it but never found anything definitive on what I am looking for

When I said 'process for powdercoating' I meant how commercial companies deal with and charge for masking certain parts of rims and whatnot . sorry shoulda specified (I know how it works) :0

How much will it cost to get those konig's innerds powder coated gold?
Are any local powder coaters here in columbus that can do this (which I don't think there are.. couldn't find any)?
How much will shipping them out to a good company cost me?

Shipping them will be expensive. A guy who owns a shop in my area charges about $75 per wheel, which seems to be average. However, masking the wheel will require extra labor, so the fee may be higher.

I'm not from Ohio, so I can't tell you if there are any good shops around. I do agree that you should PC the rims; paint will deteriorate over time.

Whatever you do, make sure you find a reputable shop since it's such a big investment.

in los angeles i found 2 places, but i hardly looked, and the prices were $150 at one, and $100 at the other. I was considering powdercoating my stock rims.

If that price is per wheel, then that is a rip off.
