Default Knock-off Enkei RPF1s

I almost never start my own threads but I thought I'd mention, I've been seriously considering hooking up a set of RPF1s as my Falken RT 615s reach the end of their life, if I buy new tires I can buy new rims and get a package deal! great excuse to do it, but big time $$$. So I found these:
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...-100&tc=DRAD21
they're probably heavier but with the right finish and the scion wheel caps you'll never tell, and they're half the price (that equals almost $600 off). hey, you bought a Tc because you're cheap, so I thought I might mention 'em, lol.

reason why ppl get teh RPF1's is b/c they are light in weight. (for tC wise)

Otherwise you might as well keep your stocks. Honestly the stock tC rims look better than those Drag's.

rpf1s IMO dont look very good at all.

the only reason Id ever rock em is the weight.
IMO if you're looking for budget wheels theres so many more out there that look way better than the rpf1s imo.

WOW! those are some ugly ___ wheels........you can tell they're fake, the RPF1's are such sexy wheels.......but those look like poop. Keep the stock wheels, they're the same 6 spoke/split design, they just don't have the lip, I'd much rather have stock wheels then those ugly ___ knock offs, spend the extra money and get the RPF1's, wheels is one thing you shouldn't cheap out on

I'm surprised, I think the RPF1s look sexy as hell. y'all think they look ugly? yes the primary reason I want them is weight, but a 15 lb wheel is a 15 lb wheel is a 15 lb wheel; they all cost $300.00+, and that's not an option right now. I looked at one at discount tire today and you can NOT tell the difference; they're a straight knock-off casting, same exact shape in a 17x8 wheels. the finish looks different, but I'd have them powdercoated anyway. the Tc only goes 120 mph, and unless I hit a concrete barricade or something, it's doubtful anything will happen. I drove 2000 miles on my A-techs (technically knock-offs) at almost 100 mph average (austin to phoenix and back) with zero issues.

Tire Rack is selling the 17x8 RPF1 in matte black for $239 each. You're way better off not skimping on wheels. Your whole car rides on them, so get quality stuff.

the problem is the 245/40/18 falken rt-615s are going to run me $1000.00 by themselves, so there's no way I'm going to be able to buy wheels this time around. 15000 more miles on the A Techs I'm afraid. although after looking at troy's scion for hours (now my comp bg at work) I'm loving the DTM look; what does everyone think of these? Tenzo R type M (kind of bimmer style wheels):

not a fan to be honest, if you look at it the fins like stick past the wheel, i think in order for those to look good you really need like a +15 offset, dunno why just doesn't do it for me, plus i like mesh wheels with a lip

I feel you. I've lately been a huge fan of no lip. Scion Jon sold me with those exel ennios he had and now with troy's 5axis car with those yokohama dtm style wheels, I LOVE that look

It's the same idea anyway, I'm sold

My enkeis were like 85 bucks and weigh like 18 lbs...
Wait for a closeout or get cheaper tires. 1k? Your not in the quest for the GT cup, so i would save ur money. Get somthin that looks good, not those knockoffs!
