I'm looking for deep lip rims...know of any? Preferably 5, 6, or 7 spoke

ooh they're nice 7 spokes...a little pricey though, but I assumed it'ld be that much given that they're Axis..

 

yeah, Widetrascks FTW...

if your looking for big lip, be prepared to pay big bucks. I dont think the Axis Widetracks are expensive for what you get...

 

yeah for what they are i thought the widetracks were pretty cheap. even though they have a fake lip i guess its ok.

to get reallly really big lip you need to go custom but thats about double or triple the price of the widetracks

if you look at the face of the wheel and at the very end of the spokes they curve back and give the illusion there is more lip than there actually is. Its a ploy to make the rim look like there is more lip than there actually is.

 

Essentially the extra lip is created by changing the offset of the wheel (instead of having a true staggered fit with the rear wheel actually being wider) which goes along with what Nebster said. My Axis Crux were like that, offset was lower in the back and the rear spokes stuck out a lot less than the front spokes.

 

that just makes it so a vehicle with a more fwd offset as ours can have a lip..either way you meausure it there is still a lip just not the way you'd see on a rear wheel drive car or a sweet ___ three piece. but i wouldn't go as far as to say "fake" lip..just my $0.02

yup you have to go custom for a bigger lip, and so far widetracks has the biggest lip i've seen so far for tc and they come in different sizes. And yeah fake lip, axis is good with that. I have decades with maxxis lip (thats what they called it) i thought the offset was lower at rear but actually they're all 35mm, its that fake lip decribed by neb that makes the the lip bigger.

 

in a way thats kinda awesome imo, dont have to pay insaine cash for an actual larger lip set up, cuz axis arent that expensive, plus it lloks like the lips are big, best bang for your buck

 

yeah but at shows judges know that kinda ____ and will dock you points

 

what if some judges dont know about them

 

i've never been to a NCCA show where a judge wasn't intelligent enough to judge properly

 

does have dish but it is kinda "fake" cus the spokes do turn in...


i didnt get the maxis lip in the rear, but they will fit

 

exactly you can see the fake lip good in that first pic etsd posted.

 

your gonna pay a lot more to get the reall look you want and get a 3 piece wheel, our cars cant really fit a "g-35" looking dish..
