It took me about four reads to understand what you all were saying about a fake lip...but wow I get it and it's cool. You give the appearance of having larger tires in the back because the lip is further in

no...the spokes turn in right before the edge making the large lip, if the spokes went straight out the lip will be small...

just read about it on Axis' website
http://www.dropshots.com/photos/4496...3/b_151247.jpg

you can also consider Jaz, Sport Max, or HP wheels for 18" staggered (18x8 and 18x9). if you look around, you can find them for less than $1000 with tires.

That looks nice...but there's no performance gain is there? And yeah, I'ld be afraid of rubbing issues as well

Widetracks FTW!

no they are not scratched, but for some reason the reflection makes it look like they are.

I can see what you are saying about the "fake lip", but it's not entirely accurate. Yes, the curled edges give the illusion of a larger lip, but even without that curled edge the Widetracks have a deeper lip than most. And I have the Maxis Lip in the rear, so they are even deeper. Nothing fake about them.

looks nice man.. the only thing bout maxis lip is you cant do tire rotation especially if your tires are unidirectional.. well you can but unmounting and mounting the tires every 3000 miles? i just dont think its worth it... i still havent decided what to do with this issue..

lol thanks, but im a WOman. anyways, i knew i wanted the Falken tires before i decided on rims and they were unidirectional anyway, so getting the Maxis lip was not an issue for me.

oh my bad SIS, well not a big issue for me but tire rotation is. And I've been running this for almost 15K already without rotating now i guess i can change all 4 every 15-20K the uneven wear isnt that bad when I checked it

^ nope, cant. unidirectional. if i swapped the lefts to the rights and vice versa, the tread would be backwards.

I wish they made them in 17s...I don't care for larger rims. They add little performance gain and take away from ride comfort. Plus 17s are cheaper...

haha i was wondering if my car was going to end up on this thread, as far as rubbing goes, it depends on tire size and if your dropped or not, i personally had rubbing issues but i rolled my fenders so now i'm alright. Oh and these wheels will HURT performance, generally because of their weight. You're pretty much sacrificing power for looks, its give n take
