most aftermarket wheels will need tuner lug nuts. they have thinner walla so they slip into the hole.

If you see gorilla lug nuts, dont buy them. They came with my Enkeis from tires.com. Every lug nut is a locking nut that uses its own socket that has a weird design. Well on the third wheel second lug, the socket snaped. I had to go and get lugs so I copuld get the last wheel on. Then i had the socket welded and am scared to try and take the gorillas off. If i get a flat i am screwed.

So deffinetly dont buy gorillas.

Ok Gorilla M12x1.5 on it. Here are pics of the stock on the left. They dont fit on my enkei wheels. The Gorilla in the middle, came with the wheels. And the ones from Advance autoparts on the right.

You can see how tall the gorilla socket is, and how thin the sidewall is. The pressure couldnt be handled. It is welded best it can be.

On the right are Dorman M12-1.50 tuner wheel lock kit. part number 711-345. Cost 29.99 at advance autoparts. Their lug fits in the lugnut and that also helps to keep from scratching the rim.

12mmx1.5 is the size you need. if you have aftermarket wheels, make sure it has a conical seat.
www.summitracing.com for a pretty good selection of lugs.

the cheap crappy nuts will bust or the socket will crack. if you got the cash get rays lugnuts. very light and strong and they come with a locknut. total, you get 2 sockets 4 locknuts and 16 lugnuts.
they come in black, red or blue. $110 shipped reg $127 shipped extended duranuts.
reg, nuts

extended duranuts.

i had a post on how to get them at a good price.

i have rays extended lugs. only 4 of them are actual keys. the rest can be removed with a standard socket tools. i wish rays had made the whole set as locks.

And why are there so many in a package, its enough for six vehicles in all these packages............whats up with that?

What were you trying to torque them down to? You should never use an impact wrench on lugs.

This was simple tightening with the lug wrench that the scion comes with. Its not nearly long enough to exert that much torque to break a socket. But it broke the socket.

My dad is an engineer. When I had him take it to work to weld it he couldnt believe how thin the walls of the socket were. The pics dont show it to well.

for the tC there should be 20 in a pack. 5 lugs per tire, 4 tires.

Interesting, the wrench I got with my Guerilla lugs is pretty normal sized and hasn't had any problems.

this is the better type of wheel lock to have. other lock designs, where the key covers the outside of the lug, can removed by hammering a deep standard socket over it (like the mutekis, rays lugs, gorillas, mcgards, etc)

Was your socket the same as the one I showed in the pictures?

Yeah it is deffinetly a better desing. I am much happier with it.
My dad was telling me that if I cant get the lugs off to go buy a bunch of cheap sockets one size to small. And hammer them on and take them off. One shot each socket but it will get them off.
He also told me of reverse thread sockets, but they are expensive i guess.

What's wrong with the Muteki's? Overtorquing them will break 'em or something?

The pictures you have are a little blurry but it looks like your socket is black and has a couple of nuts on the bottom of it? Mine looks more like a standard socket and mounts straight to any 3/8" ratchet or torque wrench. If it makes any difference mine came with my OZ wheels.
