Default Are my wheels to BIG???

Okay, I have done a search and couldn't find what I was looking for. I can only find people running 19"x8.5" wheels in the front.

I have 19"x9.5" wheels on the FRONT and back with Toyo Proxies 265/30/19. The offset is 40. I want to lower my car but I am concerned with rubbing with any basic driving. Are my wheels to wide? What kind of springs can I get with this set up with little or no rub at all. I would like to get Tein H or S tech springs but at this point anything that will not rub would be great. Any info will help.

s techs would probably more than rub....you may have to roll out the fenders a bit....did you do a search on this?

Wow... you will rub for sure... I run 19*8 235/35/19 and have small rubbing on big dips with the TRD, with the same offset... you'll rub on almost anything...

19x9.5 on the FRONT!!!!!!!!!

Your koo koo. With S techs you wont rub. Your can will be sitting on your tires. I have 19x9.5 in the rear with TRDs and i rubbed like crazy. I had to roll and that helped a lil but i cant have much weight in the back or else ill rub again.

19.8 or even 8.5 is just enough for the front but to have 9.5 your wheels will stick out!!!!

WOW and you also have to be careful on the tires you run. If you pick tires that normally run large then you will be SCREWED.

Default So I guess I am screwed then...

Thanks for support,

Right now I don't rub at all and the wheels don't stick out. My side wall isn't that tall, I have 30 series tires. I ordered them off Wheelsnext and they said I would have any problems.

I got that wide of wheels because I like the look of a wide tire. After I ordered them I kind of regretted getting them that wide for I didn't think I could lower it. And now it looks like I can't.

So I guess I am screwed is what everyone is saying?

nope... i think you're gonna have to sell those bad boys or not lower it (I'd sell them if I were you) Get something thats a little bit more practical... 18*7.5 is a good size on our car you can step up to 18*8.5 but some dips might make you want to vomit in your mouth lol

i agree with tcnut4.....i am trying to sell my 19's right now and go back to 18's.

Better performance and you can drive with ease without have to look for every little hole or bump in the road. Plus NO RUBBING.

ummm its the width and the offset that usually hurt us. Plus we have springs not coilovers unlike your pretty self (which I am jealous of by the way) lol and therefore we have more travel causing us to rub if we hit those dips at high speeds, combining your coilovers with the sway bars that you have our car tilts a lot more than yours going around turns than yours because we have a LOT more travel and sway...

So it looks like i am not going to lower my car or sell the wheels. Maybe if I get some cash or a wild hair I will sell them and get different wheels. At least the 19s fill up the wheel well and doesn't make the car look horible. I would try and get coilovers but I don't think I want to take the risk and really be in a bad situation.

Or maybe i will just sell the car and get an IS250, that would be an even easier fix.

Thanks for the info everyone, even though it wasn't what I wanted to hear.

Konig doesnt make a 19x9.5 Unknown in the 5x100 BP. This doesnt sound right, are you sure you know what size your wheels are?
