Default Need help with Tires and wheels

I'm new to scionlife. Would someone tell me whats the smallest size wheel i can get for my Scion TC 2005. There are alot of potholes where I love so i would like to replace my tires and wheels as there both getting alot of tear. I would like to get the fattest tires possible with less wheel/rim....anyone can help me exact details.
Thanks

You can easily run 16s... (the Spec models come with them) but 15s would be tough - mostly for clearing brakes, I think.

Ok so 16's would be great. Do you know what the exact tire size would be? Like right now I have 225/40/18.

Depends on your wheel... (maybe a 16x7 if you can get one?) you could run a 215/50/16 and it would be nearly identical rolling diameter to OEM size. Plus you would have a taller sidewall for a little more comfort.

Keep in mind though, you're going to sacrifice SOME performance with this.
