Default Need some good advice

Ok so here's my CarDomain http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2301337/1 if you guys would check out my new rims that would be great. They're Kyowa kr210 18's wrapped in toyo proxes...

So the story is when I got these rims I called Kyowa for the recommended tire size and the guy asked if I had a drop...I said ya trd....he said go with 215-35-18's...well that seemed like a skinny tire but I went with the guys advice and sure enough I seem to have a lot of room in my wells even with 18's...the ride quality isn't really bothering me though so I'm gonna keep them. Do you guys think I should step it up and go with a tein s-tech drop to get rid of those open wells....like I said I have the trd now but will I have problems with rubbing if I do this?

well it really depends if u have the right offset for ur rims. if it is like mine wif a 42 offset u can go to s-techs wif no problems. i have 225/40 r18's on my tc wif s-techs with no problems. IMO i think u shoulda gotten taller tires, like 40 series. theres more cushion for bumps in the road. oh well maybe next time.

Talk about cushion, I'm getting 19s with 225/35/19 General Tire Exclaim UHP.

I would definatly go with a 225/40-18 and some wheel spacers.

What is the offset on those wheels?

I've heard about wheel spacers rattling, so I wouldn't do that.

I run 18x7.5 rims w/ a 225/40/18 tire on them droped on s-techs. no rubbing at all.

then again, the wheels run a psycho 48mm offset.

Neothin, I just looked at your mods and it looks like you could have bought a TRD S/C with that money. I would have done that, as it's like 50HP in 1 part, seems more simpler that way and it's also warrantied.

I have been running spacers for over 4000 miles with no problems.

Yea, it may not happen to everyone, show me some pics of them. I don't see very many tCs with spacers.

Ehh, I like the pulls tho. Don't care about getting to 50 MPH in 3 seconds or whatever. I like the launches, slamming your back in the seat.

And plus, I gotta be some competitiion ya know?
