Need wheel and tire opinions
I am looking into getting an new set of wheels and tires in the near future. I kind of have an idea what I want but just wanted some opinions. Also would like to know what are some really good performance tires that would fit these rims and fit the tC.
Thanks in advance
Here is my car:
The rims are here (the bronze):

Haha.. that finally answered my ongoing question in my head... if you worked for CC or not? I figured you did by the name you had.. Roadshop Rules...lol
Those rimes will look good with that blue.. Im usaully not a fan of bronze wheels, which im guessing are the ones your talking about, but with the blue it will match nicely... Cant offer opinions on good tires.. But I did spend more on the tires I bought then the rims, and since your turboed you will want somthing that will hug and grip the road as best as possible.. Good luck in your search.

Yeah I'm an installer for CC Roadshop here. #1 shop in central IL...lol. Thanks for pointing that out, fixed the original post to clarify. Yeah I will need something for grip b/c of the turbo but don't really know what to go with.

Maybe you should define what you think a "good performance tire" is. Are you looking for a tire good for daily driving or more towards an autocross genre (or something in between)? Does tire wear play a factor in your decision? How about price? I'm actually looking for tires myself and I can tell you that the choices are thin for the stock 215/45/17 size. But if you jump to a 225/45/17 size the variety is wide open for you, not to mention that a wider track will benefit your new found power. By the way the 225 will fit your 7" wide rim with no problem.
I suggest you browse sites such as www.tirerack.com or www.1010tire.com and get ideas of what you might like to get.
Personally, I have my eyes set on the Kumho ECSTA MX. It isn't the best tire out there, but for about 100 bucks a pop it's a bargain... IMO. Another option on the budget oriented shopper would be the Falken FK452 or the Toyo Proxes 4. All of these have decent tire wear according to their ratings.
I don't know much about higher end tires (~$200) as my budget makes me wish I bought a PS3 last night and sold it on ebay. But I know the Yokohama ADVAN is a good choice.
Hope this helps!
