Just bought a 09 scion 36000 miles on it. I'm new to the customizing of cars game. I'd like to start off with some new wheels. Any suggestions?

 

I recommend a drop before you get wheels. Wheels without a drop doesnt look good imo. Wheels depend on alot. Such as what size you want, width, color. Etc!

 

Wheels do make a big difference in helping your tC stand out amongst the local tCs and that's not a bad thing. I do agree though that a drop should be priority because it will be hard to appreciate your nice wheels without a nice drop.

 

Hmm, thought the wheels would have been first because you'd need to know the size of the wheel and tire before the drop but I guess not. Guess I'll get my lowering springs first!

 

Just checked out some lowering kits. I need nething else besides lowering springs?

 

If your struts don't have too many miles on them, you can just use them with the new springs. You can always buy new struts to go with your lowering springs that way you could avoid have to change them out further down the road.

 

^May I suggest coilovers? You can adjust the ride height to your liking. Plus it's overall a better buy in the long run. I'm only suggesting coilovers because I've been down your road before. I got Tanabe DF210s and wheels. Over time, I wanted more low. lol

Yea a guy i work with suggested coilovers. So coilovers it is. Just looked at the raceland site. Those coilovers seem to be a good enough price. Thanks caprice 0083
