hey, that's a nice looking wheel. if you like them and do not mind what you paid for them then that's that then all that matters is that you are happy with them. post pics when they're mounted on. :D

It is not the style of the rim, it is the quality. Drag is not known for their quality, they copy everybody's design and sell it a super low price. But hey if you like them and that is what you have the money for go for, I personally really like the Drag DR-31s

____ty wheel, if I were you i'd take that money and buy some quality used wheels that are in great condition. You can do ALOT of damage with 1200

ditch the drags, with 1200 i was able to get a set of SSR Professors, Volk GT-Vs and Volk GT-Ps

drags are verryyyyyy low quality wheels. you know the kind of wheels that you see bent, and cracked, and the finish peeling off. you dont want that on your tC save the money, browse the forum.

for example Skion is selling his Enkei GTC-01 wheels for less then 1000 which are AMAZING wheels, look into those, they are also a bright silver finish, and there are a lot of NICE wheels on OUR classified forums. just an idea, i would stay very far away from drag, imo they are worse the rotas.

Even if you can't afford real quality wheels atleast take the next step up form drag and get rotas. They're still cheap but a little better quality then drag wheels, IMO.

congratulations on your purchase. please post some pics.

i'm not sure anyone has explained what constitutes a quality wheel
beyond the different price points.

there are many reasons other than quality for higher cost. for a good
number of them you are paying premium for name alone

^^Obviously you need to do some reading on how volk, bbs, and other higher end brands make their rims and why they are stronger. Its not just the brand that makes the price higher

I appreciate all the criticism, but discount tire ordered them for me. Too late for telling me to get a better rim. I have talked to ppl with the rim and they are pleased with it. And, discount tire has a warranty on them. If I hit a pot hole and dents the rim or blows a tire from it, then they will replace it free of charge.

Don't mind these wheel snobs. I have had 3 sets of rims, one of them were enkeis and they would bend over every pothole I hit. Got sick of replacing individual wheels and got a set of Drag DR-14s. Mind you, I live in Pittsburgh, which is pretty much accepted as the home of the worst roads in the U.S. Anyway, I've hit potholes a foot and a half deep at 40 mph, so hard I swear I thought the wheel would literally be cracked in half, got out and found not even a dent. The chrome lip is sick, they haven't chipped, faded or cracked in 3 years, in Pittsburgh winters, through ice and salt and snow and many potholes inbetween. The paint never peeled any of that nonsense, only faded slightly from my misuse of acidic wheel cleaners. These wheels held up EXACTLY as I had hoped, actually much better and the only reason I got another set of wheels was because I wanted a different look. SF challenge are pretty freakin sick though, just ultra pricey.

I'd go with Ray's g-games w77 wheels. They are similar to that drag.

The 77W's are discontinued. He'd have to find a used set.

Congrats on the wheel purchase...
Granted not many people care for drag wheels but it's your car do what you like.
But post some pictures when you get them installed on the car.
