^^ If you're gonna go 19s, about the only benefit you'll see is appearance. Cons are price, weight, and a much harsher ride.

more often than not, going up to 19s also means extra weight.

and also count on your speedometer reading to be off slightly, as well.

and the ride being rough as hell, and you have to use very low profile tires and it will be easier to bend rims.

With the larger diameter, unless you can compensate with the tire profile, you are requiring more tq to achieve the same acceleration. While cruising you have the advantage of less rolling resistance. So there is one con and pro right there. So X percentage increase in overall diameter means you need that same percentage increase in tq in order to provide the same lateral force to the ground.

For most applications like this you wont notice it too much. But if the wheel is substantially heavier then you will also see some negative effect.

For the most part though, your concern will be a harsher ride and greater ease in bending rims with the lower profile tires

cons:
heavier wheel
brakes fade faster
possible rubbing issues
slower acceleration
cost more
car getting keyed because of haters

pros:
looks better
when next to a stock tc, you will stand out
ofcourse hot girls looking at your ride and leaving their ricer boyfriends for you.

hope that helps.

Pros: Looks, minus the haters

Cons: Mine are heavy, although considered lightweight for their size, about 23 lbs each, i have noticed acceleration is sacrificed a bit. Also another con is odd people will wanna race you. I had some guy in a Jeep Cherokee floor it from a green light. People see big wheels and insantly feel they need to assert dominance to compensate for their old brake dust covered stockers.

P.S.- Cherokee ate dust with the 19s

for me when i had 19"s, sloppy braking, slower acceleration. The ride was not bad, im used to running 19's or larger, but for the Tc i would recomend 18's.
as for tire cost, my 18" tires cost about the same as the 19"s, and my 18"s actually cost about twice as much as the 19"s so i depends on brand or rim and tire if cost is an
issue.

But 19"s look sweet.......

can't beat the look of a flushed set of 19s on your ride. but you do sacrifice the ride quality and the maintenance. but who doesn't maintain in order to keep up right? you gotta maintain the 18s, just a tad more for the 19s...but what a difference it makes.
