polycarbonate is fine. Rays Engineering makes polycarbonate rings for use on their $3000+ wheels.

when metal rings rust onto the wheel hub you cant remove them without a pick and hammer. that becomes a problem when you get a flat and need to change the wheel on the side of the road in the middle of the night, and the spare wont mount because it wont fit over the rusted-stuck hub ring.

my SSRs use metal rings and sometimes they get stuck onto the wheel or hub. my old Volks had polycarbonate and I never had an issue

edited for spelling

if the center bore of the wheel doesnt match the bore of the hub (iirc the tC is 54.1) you need hub rings to make the wheel sit perfectly against the hub.

awesome man, i just got some silver 17x8 fn01r-c's and im in love with them

anyway, if you want these rings try search for "scion hub rings" on ebay. they might not be available for a bit since i just bought mines last night. if not, you can try search elsewhere. supposedly if your aftermarket wheel bore doesnt sit on the factory wheel hub correctly, you may get problems with vibrations even though your wheels and tires have been balanced.

Nice! I got hyper black and they look really good. So did you have to use hubcentric rings for your wheels? I haven't mounted tires yet so I 'm not sure if I need one. Anyone knows?

im not sure, i havent mounted tires on mine either. you can just mount tires, get them balanced, and throw them on the car. if you still get vibrations you might wanna look into them. i just got them so i dont have to worry about it since they were less than $15 shipped.

I have MRR HR2 wheels and the bore is 57.1 on the wheels and can't find a hub centric ring with an inside of 54.1 and an outside of 57.1. Anyone know where I can find that size ring? The smallest outside diametter I have found is 60...........
