Hey guys i just started my research about wheels and what i want about 2 weeks ago.

My needs are:
1) Not flashy, but rather good looking classy sport wheel
2) preferably as light as possible
3) be able to fit 255 tire with minimum modifications to fenders, etc.

What i'm going to use them for

Autox and track events as well as daily driving during the summer.
For the winter i will take them off as i obviously not going to run 255 tire in slow and sleet so i will just used different rims with 225 tires.

So far i have narrowed down to
5Zigen ProRacer GN+ in 17x8.5 hyper black with +48 offset,

i have also seen some nice design made by Volk and Buddy Club. Do you guys have any suggestions ?

 

you might want to look at/ask in another thread, cause 5zigens definatly dont belong here.

 

i think hes just asking for help in general.

for the money your going to pay for 5zigens it would be easier to dump into some rpf1's

im asuming u want something in the 8.5-9 range judging by the 255... ??

For example: Volk CE28N style is my taste.
I'm pretty much asking for good rims with the specs that i listed in my previous post.

TCpete: yes i was asking pretty much in general since you guys are more knowledgeable in rims then i am and i would like to have good racing rims.

I am looking in 17x8.5 5x100 as close to +45 as possible.

how about SSR Type C in 17x8.5 ? i like their style as well.

 

why not buy the 17x8 rpf1's... they serve your purpose and arent super drop your jaw expensive... unless you wana play ball and get something more costly. te37s or ce28ns are light.. but it wil be hard to find a clean set @ 8.5 with a 40 or 44 offset in 17" .. you will either have to place an order or go over seas if your lucky. works are easier to get in sizes you want. especially the cr-kai as they are pretty flooded all over right now for sale and are light

^^ 17x8 is an option, however not good for 255 tire. rpf1 are too much like stock looking for me... but on the lighness aspect they are perfect.

you should run 17x9 et35 all around and that would look sick and serve ur purpose

 

no volk wheel comes in an 8.5 or 9 in a +35 ... that would have to be a custom order.
