TCpete that is true.. i will be contacting the guy about these wheels.
but i was looking to buy rims in few month because i'm coming back in september/october.

Seeing how those rims are lightly curbed maybe i can pick purchase them, and then have a shop make them look like brand new and have them waiting for me at my house.
Also, TCpete since you know wheels and all, how would a shop make them look new ? would they have to repaint them ?

P.S. What do you think about Gram Lights 57 optimise ?

depending on the curbage they would need to blast the wheel down to bare metal , rebuild the lip with welds, and then sand/reshape the lip with a machine. its a basic process... or if its not to deep they can sand it down..

the hard part is them matching the paint. thats all...

Well i was actually thinking maybe instead of matching the paint making them gunmetal. Because i'm not sure how well will gold flow with my yellow Wolwood brakes ?

Ruswolf is good that you ask so much about baller wheels but get something that you truely love even if some one else dosent agree with you because at the end of the day its you who will drive your car .

Thanks, i definately like to do my research.

I like "baller" rims, but the thing is the ones i like are like almost aboe 2K for a ser brand new.. so i'm still thinking on how to justify paying 2,000-2,500 just for the rims and plus tires on top of that will be close to 3K.

TCpete pointed out those advans for sale and i'm actually doing research now as how much will it be to repair them and make them look brand new.

I understand that those wheels were probably close to 2K brand new and its a great deal and some people would probably dont mind minor curb scratches on them, but i would prefer to have clean rims if i cant find anything that i like for good price then i'll just get something brand new around 1200 for a set (those 5Zigens for example)... We'll see how it goes.

Question i had in mind, why are 5Zigen's not qualified as high-end "baller" rims ? are they even good as a brand ? what kind of "status" do they have in the racing world?

There is nothing wrong with 5zigen per se but let's just say they wouldn't belong in this thread.

baller = expensive
baller = over 450-500 per wheel

it really is quite stupid, but since we spend so much, we like to show off haha.

All right this is what i'm looking at as far as baller rims

1) Type C 17x8.5 +49
2) Type F 17x8.5 +44
3) Advan RG2 17x8.5 +46

I have also found SSR Type-C RS Wheel 17x8.5 5x100. What is the difference between Type-C and Type-C RS ?

Used:
ADVAN RG 17x8.5 +43

What do you guys think ?

I kind of really like type C, but how will +49 offset fit and look ? i'm looking to run 255 Dunlop Z1 Direzza Star Spec tire.

will i need spacer or fender rolling with that high of an offset ? or will i need anything with other offsets ?

you and me both man, i wish they paid teachers what they deserved haha.

to answer your question from before, with +49 and running 255 all the way around what your clearance would be, we would need to know how low you will be going? like 1 finger, 2 fingers or just fisting...whatever your into of course
